SNAP Grant
The SNAP Grant is a short-term opportunity for all Providence-area visual artists, available temporarily during the 2025 federal suspension of food stamps.
Overview
In November 2025, due to the current government shutdown,
Interlace is opening a SNAP Grant specific to food insecurity
due to the temporary (we hope!) loss of food stamp benefits.
This grant is open to all artists in the area we serve.

-
The deadline for this grant is November 7. This is a new grant and we will offer at least one round. If demand from qualified applicants in the first round exceeds our resources we will make grants on a lottery basis.
-
Eligible applicants must live within a 10-mile radius of Providence and demonstrate they currently receive SNAP benefits. Artists must live in the Providence area at the time of their request (artists temporarily living in other places are not eligible until they return to Providence).
-
Grant funds are provided in the form of a Stop & Shop gift card and include no reporting requirements.
-
Interlace will not publicly announce recipients of these grants.
